Real, hands-on tech skills for Year 12s and 13s.
This isn’t a sitting, listening, theory-based classroom. It’s an active lab where students build, break, and secure real-world systems. This is ripping out hardware, writing code from scratch, and stopping network attacks in real-time. Over two years, we take students out of the textbook and put them directly on the tools. You build it, you prove it works.
What You Will Master
Hardware & Systems: Tear down and upgrade PCs, deploy multi-OS environments (Windows and Linux), and master virtual machines.
Security & Networking: Set up routers and Wi-Fi, write firewall rules, block network attacks in real-time, and lock down system permissions.
Software & Design: Prototype real user interfaces in Figma, manage project sprints in Trello, and code working applications from scratch.
Data Architecture: Build robust databases from zero and write precise SQL queries to power the apps you develop—skills that mirror exactly how modern tech teams operate.
Program Logistics
Schedule: Once a week starting in year 12, twice a week if starting in year 13
Location: 100% hands-on, onsite in the Techtorium labs
