DIPLOMA IN CLOUD MANAGEMENT (Level 7)

The aim of the course is to produce graduates who are capable of implementing and supporting cloud and server computing environments. This course has a high-level ICT technical base with appropriate security content and provides students with the opportunity to specialise in several areas, including cloud, voice, wireless, network infrastructure and sustainability. Graduates who have attained a Techtorium in Cloud Management in 7 Diploma will have sufficient Cloud and Server Integration skills to be employed in an entry-level role.

 

This course normally requires you to have completed the New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical Support (ITTS) Level 5 and the New Zealand Diploma in Systems Administration Level 6 to be eligible for this course. Previous work or study experience may be considered.

What is a Cloud Engineer?

A cloud services engineer is responsible for the planning, provisioning, testing, administration, troubleshooting and documentation of cloud-based systems.

Cloud Engineers have the willingness and the capability to learn. You are the kind of person who is excited about new technology and envisions the future of technology. You will have good interpersonal communication and listening skills with the ability to challenge ideas.

Level 7 Clpud Management Diploma
The Level 7 Diploma in Cloud Management is designed to help our learners in performing the functional roles around designing and implementing server infrastructure, configuring and deploying private cloud infrastructures and implementing advanced solutions of Microsoft Exchange Server. In addition, students are preparing for Project Management and Operational Management.
All prospective candidates are required to have completed the Level 6 NZ Diploma in System Administration or an equivalent Level 6 qualification.
  • Mature applicants will be considered for a position on the course based on their interest in a career change to computer engineering.
  • Equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • International students must have an appropriate level of English proficiency for the level at which they intend to study – IELTS Academic score of 6, with no band score lower than 5.5
  • Age: Applicants must be 18 years or older.

This Level 7 Diploma Course is a highly specialised course that aims to qualify students in Cloud & Server Infrastructure. During this one year New Zealand diploma course you will cover:

Term 1:
  • Analysing, adapting and application of specialised processes to analyse IT Infrastructures and generate enterprise wide solutions.
  • Acquiring communication and problem solving skill.
  • Adaptation of enterprise and architecture documentation methodologies and principles.
  • Adaptation and application of cloud solutions for a data center

Term 2:
  • Analysis of a range of options and implement a solution to meet organisations data storage requirements.
  • Implementing server-based virtualisation infrastructure to support organisational requirements.
  • Applying communication, information design, personal, and interpersonal skills, clearly and professionally to enhance working effectiveness, efficiency, and quality outcomes in an organisational environment.

Term 3:
  • Development of advanced skills and specialist knowledge of cloud and server environments with significant depth in some areas.
  • Specialised knowledge to analyse and generate solutions to complex problems in the server, cloud Storage and messaging environments.
  • Advanced storage specialist knowledge to be applied in the design and implementation of storage solutions.

Term 4:
  • The ability to apply project management methodologies and practices.
  • Acquired advanced design and implementation skills through real-life project scenarios.
  • Real-world experience in working with different teams on projects.
