About the role
We are looking for Computer Engineering and Software Development trainers who are ready to help train the next generation of IT professionals. For our Computer Engineering trainers, you will come with skills in:
- Advanced Virtualisation using Hyper-V
- System Centre Virtual Machine manager
- ITIL
- Storage Area Networks (SAN)
- Servers and server configuration
- Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS)
- Experience in Cloud Solutions including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
Or for our Software Development trainers, you will bring such skills as:
- Programming Skills C# and Python
- Advanced Web Developments Skills using various APIs
- Database Skills (SQL Server, My SQL)
- Mobile App Development
- Game Development (Unity, C#)
- Integrating Software with Azure Services
- Hold on to IDEs like Microsoft Visual Studio and VS Code
The trainer is the core delivery role within the Institute. You are responsible for ensuring that each student is provided with a conducive, inspiring and engaging innovative learning environment that is free of any potential hazards. Trainers are key to vocation learning and contribute to student ‘work readiness’ by role modelling the behaviours and attitudes required by industry and employers. You maintain relevancy by consistently linking learning back to industry requirements and expectations.
The primary function of this role is to provide professional service that focuses on the institute’s culture of enhancing student learning, student professional development, student engagement and the quality of the student experience. This includes student preparedness for employment or further study by the end of their programme.
