We have been delivering ICE & CODE programmes to New Zealand Secondary Schools for 10 years. These programmes have enabled countless secondary school learners to gain better insight into IT as a career path. Our programmes are designed to “un-jumble the jargon” and offer learners a chance to immerse themselves in the work of computer engineering and software development. Our purpose is to help secondary school learners make more informed decisions about IT as a profession.

Preview 2026
We’re inviting all all teachers, careers teams, and pathways staff, this special session to provide you with an inside look at what Techtorium has planned for your students next year — including exciting new opportunities and pathways.

ICE & CODE 2026
ICE (Intro to Computer Engineering) and CODE (Intro to Software Development) are short, hands-on programmes that give students a taste of our full-time IT diplomas.
Choose from four programmes: Networks, Digital Security, Programming and Games
Each runs for three days (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM), with two days of learning and one day of assessment. It’s the perfect way to explore IT, build new skills, and see what studying at Techtorium is all about.
Tech Pathways 2026
Tech Pathways is designed for students who are passionate about IT and want a deeper learning experience. Running one day a week (Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) for the year, this programme lets you build practical skills while still at school.
You can choose to focus on: Computer Programming and Networks & Computers
It’s the perfect next step for students ready to go beyond the basics and explore IT in greater depth.
Familiar Days
Familiarisation Day is your chance to step into the shoes of a Techtorium student. Come along, meet our tutors, and get hands-on with real IT activities.
Schools can book a minimum of 10 students for a session, and we’ll work with you to find a time that suits. It’s the perfect opportunity for students to get on campus, explore IT, and see what life at Techtorium is all about.
