Welcome to Techtorium

Women in Technology event

Techtorium is excited to host our first-ever Women in Technology event!

We have an amazing lineup of speakers and panellists to share their journey and learnings, answer your questions, and get you excited about the ever-growing world of Technology.

The New Zealand IT sector is growing fast resulting in a shortage of skilled IT professionals. It is estimated that only around 20% of technology-related jobs in New Zealand are held by females, so there is clearly a strong under-representation of women in the Technology sector.

At Techtorium, we want to be a part of the change to help breakdown gender bias and create gender equality within the technology industry and we aim to do this by:

  • Raising awareness of IT for females
  • Providing visible pathways into the industry
  • Celebrating women
  • Building community and connections

Technology is everywhere and used by everyone making the IT industry extremely versatile and diverse! A career in Tech is a great way to future-proof yourself, assuring a stable and rewarding career. You can integrate your passion with a career in technology. Do you love Art and Coding? Do you love Fashion Design and Engineering? Those subjects can join forces and generate innovation!

We want to inspire women across New Zealand to help drive the change and make a career in technology. So, regardless of whether you’re just considering a career in Technology, have been in the industry for years, work in a different industry but are passionate about gender equality or just want to grow your network, we invite you to join us on June 2nd and help drive the change!
