CYBER SECURITY

| Level 3 |  10 credits

Protect and defend your network. This three day course focuses on technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorised access. Students will learn about the latest developments in cyber security, gain new skills and find out what it takes to get a job in the IT industry!

 

CLOUD TECHNOLOGY

| Level 3 |  9 credits

Cloud Technologies is a type of Internet-based computing that provides shared computer processing resources and data to computers and other devices on demand.

 

SERVERS

| Level 4 |  9 credits

In computing, a Server is a computer program or a device that provides functionality for other programs or devices, called “clients”. This architecture is called the
client–server model, and a single overall computation is distributed across multiple processes or devices.

CODE-Introduction to computer programming
CODE Programming

| Level 3 | 9 credits

Kick off with CODE Programming. On this three day course students will gain new skills in programming and create a variety of applications using programming languages. On completion of this course students can progress to CODE Games and CODE Artificial Intelligence. Learn new skills, gain credits and find out more about possible careers in the IT industry!

 

GAMES*

| Level 4 | 10 credits

Game development is the process of creating a game using specific coding to write software. This includes creating an interface for the gamer and the code behind the
scene to animate the player’s character and its reaction to other elements within the game. Game development also sets how to win or lose the game.

* Direct entry possible for students with prior knowledge of Visual Basic

 

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE*

| Level 4 | 10 credits

Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.
